Praying Pals
Dear Prayer Pals,
Good Day to each of you. May God be
with you throughout this day.
I have some wonderful news of my friend,
Roy Piazza. He has bounced back well
from his past knee surgery and returned
to work this past Tuesday. Still has some pain,
but that is to be expected. He wants to thank
all of you for your continued prayer for him.
***
May I ask for prayer for our Police Officers across
America who have been targeted this past month.
Fifteen officers have been killed; eleven of them in a 24 hour
period. Remember them and their families along
with all police officers who protect us daily. Especially,
my dear friends, Walter and Jack. Also,
I would suggest fire fighters could be included, for
they are often targeted as well.
***
Life up our world in prayer today, the fighting
and chaos all over is alarming. Especially,
remember the Egyptian people as they are facing
riots and unrest, caused by the shutdown of their
cell phones and Internet.
We live in very difficult times. Bring our
God into all that you do. Praise His Holy Name.
Love and Blessings,
Ginger

Montana Ranchers try and save horses
Montana ranchers rally to save starving, abandoned horses
Donated hay makes way to ranch where hundreds of animals are in need of nourishmen
BILLINGS — The first shipment of donated hay made its way to a Yellowstone County ranch
to help save hundreds of starving horses in what could be one of the largest animal
abuse cases in Montana history.
Hay — 100 tons — was donated by the Valley M Ranch in Red Lodge and hauled
to the Home Place Ranch where investigators say horses were left without food,
water or veterinary care by the ranch's former owner.
Some have offered to take and care for several of the animals. Others have
volunteered to take feed and water troughs out to the land.
NILE Rodeo managers and the Department of Livestock have also
stepped forward and offered help.Manager Justin Mills, manager for the
NILE Foundation, said offers to help the horses were pouring in
from around the world. "We've had people shoot emails from Australia
wanting to know what's going on. We find that people from outside the local,
immediate region, it's a cash donation that's coming in."

Boy with Blood Disorder Has Wish Granted to Visit his Grandfather
A little boy battling has his wish to visit his Grandpa in Alabama granted in time for Christmas with a few extra surprises. When asked to wish for anything in the world, many little kids just want a computer, a certain toy, a shopping spree or to visit Disney World. For 10-year-old Antonio, he just wanted to spend Christmas with his grandfather. Not only was his wish a little different than most, but Antonio’s situation differs from other kids as well. You see, Antonio has suffered from hemophilia type A since he was an infant. This is a severe blood disorder in which his blood is missing an important clotting factor and causes him to bruise easily. This disorder also causes pain and swelling associated with bleeding into his joints; even the smallest injury poses a potentially life-threatening problem with hemophilia A.For the first two years of his life, Antonio spent most of his time in the hospital because two-thirds of his blood simply did not work. For this, he endured two blood transfusions and continues to follow a strict daily medication regimen. Antonio is also limited in his level of activity. While talking to the mother of another child with hemophilia, Antonio’s mother, Cindy, listened to a story about a wish granted by Kids Wish Network, a charity dedicated to granting the wishes of kids and teens suffering from life-threatening illnesses like her little boy’s. She decided to give them a call.It was to Wish Coordinator Jennifer that Antonio entrusted his wish to spend Christmas with his grandfather in Alabama. Because of the distance and family troubles, little Antonio didn’t get to spend much time with his beloved grandfather in previous years. With the help of the American Legion Main South Post 341 and the Iron Workers Local 7 in Massachusetts, as well as some outstanding sponsors in Alabama, Jennifer set to work planning an itinerary complete with some fun activities for Antonio and his whole family to enjoy together during the wish trip. In addition to the flight, accommodations and dinners during the evenings, Jennifer also arranged for Antonio and his family to enjoy a trip to the DeSoto Caverns, a tour of the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory and even a jaunt to the McWane Science Center! For Antonio’s first experience “down south,” Antonio, his grandfather and the rest of their family visited the DeSoto Caverns, where they truly delighted in the magic they encountered in the underground world.Another fun family experience was the trip to the McWane Science Center, where Antonio said that his favorite parts were “going down the Winter Wonderland slide and seeing the IMAX movie AND the candy!”Finally, on their last day in Alabama, the family visited the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory together. According to Antonio, he loved “getting to actually go through the entire factory and see how they package and make the ice cream was cool; so was eating the yummy ice cream! It made me feel awesome!”Of course, despite all of the fun things that he experienced on his trip, the best part for Antonio was spending time with his whole family, especially his grandfather.

Congresswoman Giffords-A modern Day Miracle
It is isn't? When you hear about someone being shot in the head you don't anticipate survival....if by the grace of God they do survive then you don't expect the outcome to be very positive. Certainly there would be some physical consequences for such a traumatic injury. Senator Congresswoman's survival and her healing is nothing short of a miracle brought about by those that having been praying for her. According to a FOX NEWS POLL about 77 percent of American voters said they believed that prayer literally helped Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords survive the Tucson shooting, according to a Fox News poll released Thursday.

(Photo: AP/Office of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, File)
FILE - In this March, 2010 file photo provided by the office of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., Giffords poses for a photo.
Only 17 percent didn't believed prayer played a role. The remaining six percent were unsure.
Giffords was shot in the head Jan. 8 while at a constituent meeting outside a Tucson Safeway.
The 40-year-old congresswoman is expected to be moved to a rehabilitation center in Houston as early as Friday.
On Thursday, Giffords' doctors said she moved her lips but they were not certain whether it was an attempt to speak. Her neurosurgeon said she was able to stand with assistance earlier this week and that it was possible she could walk in two months. Now this truly IS a miracle.
If our combined prayers could help Giffords survive, what else could we help change if we combined our faith and prayers?
Walk by Faith and Not by sight
This is an awesome prayer. Believe it and you shall be blessed. The problem with many of us is that we don't believe that God will open a window and pour out blessings that we won't have room to receive them.
I dare anyone to try God. He is true to His word. God cannot lie and His promises are sure.
Three things will happen to you this coming week:
(1) You will find favor with someone you don't expect;
(2) You will be too relevant to be ignored;
(3) You will encounter God and you will never remain the same again..

Roe vs. Wade
Good Sunday to all,
January 22, 2011 marks the 38 th anniversary of the Roe v Wade
Supreme Court decision granting U. S. women the right to abortion. An analysis from the National Right to Life Committee based on hard data and estimates for the most recent years finds "52million" unborn children have been killed in abortion since the Roe decision. May God forgive us!
On January 24, 2011, tens of thousands of Americans, including youth and adults from my own parish will descend upon Washington, D. C. to participate in the annual March for Life Rally, a peaceful pro-life demonstration
protesting the decision to legalize abortion in our country.
This very same anniversary will be "commemorated" by Planned Parenthood, an organization that operated the nation's largest abortion business.
What do you know about the woman behind "the most thriving crusade against humankind," Margaret Sanger? Finding out more about the founder of Planned Parenthood and her philosophy will help you to understand how deeply our nation has fallen into sin. If you are interested in reading more about this sad woman, please
go to my church site, www.stpeterparish.com and click on Faith Fact.
My earnest prayer is that we will overturn Roe v Wade in my lifetime.
I am often surprised by Christian people who think Pro-choice is the way to go. Do they truly believe that God gave us the choice to kill our own children? "Yes," they say, "but what about rape or other reasons for abortion?" My answer is this, do you believe that God created all of us? The usual answer is "Yes, of course!" Well then do you believe that God makes mistakes? "No?" Then why are some women trying to correct what they think is a mistake by having an abortion.
Had my own Mother thought that way, I may not be here. I was an unexpected child, the fourth in a family that worked hard for the little we had. Were we poor? I didn't think so, but some would probably say yes. Thank God my Mother chose to give me life; she did not believe there was a choice. Should there be a choice? ?????????
Love and Blessings,
Ginger

Together we CAN make a difference
Congressional Reform Act of 2011
The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.
;
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.
I'm asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.
Congressional Reform Act of 2011
1. Term Limits.
12 years only, one of the possible options below..
A. Two Six-year Senate terms
B. Six Two-year House terms
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms
2. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.
4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message. Maybe it is time.
