When I first saw you on Fox before your show started you seemed very interesting. I have not missed one of your shows since that day.
You have put information in front of me and I have accepted your challenge to learn. I am reading books again like crazy. Thank you for helping me to learn more history about the United States.
I am a single mom who raised her kids to know how to work. In fact, they went to work with me and learned to save. Both of my sons are disabled, adopted, and with a lot of love and guidance my youngest son has two jobs and my oldest would love to work, (his disability is keeping him from working right now), because he does not like taking money from the government. Thank you for validating that I raised my sons right.
I have taken in an elderly woman to live in my home because she does not have any income. She is teaching me how to shop for food and clothing based on sales, how to can food, how to grow food, and we are working on our years worth of food storage. She is feeling fulfilled because she lived through the depression and her knowledge is so important right now and she loves to share it with me. Thank you for opening my heart to a stranger.
During the past year I have become involved with many veterans organizations. I am a totally disabled VietNam veteran. I am working hard to help keep the veterans hospital in Roseburg Oregon open. The government is working hard to close the facility. I have carried a sign and stood on a sidewalk at the entrance to the VA hospital trying to make people aware of what the government is doing. I have volunteered to gather signatures on letters to send to our congressman and senator. I have written letters to an organization that is looking into what is going on. I have volunteered to help homeless veterans receive services from the VA during a stand down at the VA facility and have written letters trying to keep the advocate position in the county funded so all of the veterans can receive the services that they have earned. Thank you for helping me find my voice and become an advocate for those who served before me, with me, and after me.
Glenn, you were right. I am not alone. There are conservatives in Oregon.
Respectfully,
JoAnn , OR
