we were watching your program about inflation & food prices.
being the baby (55) of the group of 7, these nice ladies weren't even aware of what's going on with world events, but not to worry! i had just recently started inviting them over to the house for coffee around 3pm, and NATURALLY we had to watch your program at 4.
they have grouped together and organized...there are now 18 of us and we are organizing for a canned food, clothing & shoes drive.
also this spring we will be combining our yards sales with the church rummage sale & are planning to purchase food to store in the church basement.
you have given these "old ladies" a reason to get up every morning and a purpose in life again! i've never seen these women so energetic in their plans and grimly resolved in their purpose.
most were children in the great depression and understand what we're facing.
BTW, at 4:00 pm in alabama we're all watching you, and by 5:05 we're burning up the phone lines discussing what you said.
we are fully engaged & firmly resolved to make the best that comes our way & help those who can't help themselves.
