Hey Glenn,
Been with you since the hln days. Just got online first time in 3
years, wasn't in the budget. Glad to be back so I can keep up and
research. Love The Blaze!!
Have a nice story for ya. My kids go to a public elementary school in
Northport, Alabama and every year for veterans day they put on a
wonderful program. All veterans and active military are invited for a
meet and greet. Afterwards everyone goes to the gym for a public
assembly where they honor the vets and introduce them to everyone. We
hear stories from honored guest about their service. This year we had
a lovely lady who was a test pilot for the airforce during WW11. I
was so proud that my daughters were there to hear the life story of
this strong, amazing, patriotic women. But my favorite part of the
event is always when all 600 or so children stand and sing our
National Anthem, Grand Ole Flag and America the Beautiful. My kids
run around the house for weeks practicing. The first time I heard my
6 year daughter singing our National Anthem I got tears in my eyes.
Teaching a new generation to love this country gives me hope. I am
blessed to have such a good public school to send my children to. I
know because my family is all in Pa. and my sisters are always
complaining. And yes at our schools children can wear Christmas
attire and sing Christmas caroles. Also, a moment of silence won't
get you expelled. And down here we all proudly fly our flags in
public and private areas. Well hope this helps give you a little more
hope and brightens your day just a bit more. God Bless you and yours.
Sincerely, Lisa
